Southport has something for everyone.

Some residents would say that our main attraction is the 9-hole executive golf course that winds through the property. But most golfers would say it is the range of leagues and golf events run by residents and enjoyed by all. In addition to the golf course and practice putting green, the Clubhouse area includes combined tennis/pickleball courts and a grilling area. Both racket sports have their own player groups and activities, and the entire community enjoys the Clubhouse for gatherings such as Cocktails on the Deck, summer trivia nights, and neighborhood gatherings.

The Village Center is the heart of Southport's easy going lifestyle. The large outdoor pool is open for an extended season - usually mid-May to Columbus Day - and is enjoyed by all. Water aerobics classes are conducted outdoors during the season, and indoors the rest of the year. Also humming with league and social play are the bocce and shuffleboard courts. The Village Center's 32,000 square feet allows for many activities. It includes an indoor pool, a fully equipped gym and separate cardio room. Popular among residents are the Billiards Room, Woodworking Shop, Sports Lounge, Library and Computer Center. The large Ballroom is used for a variety of large social events, association meetings, and exercise classes. Additional meeting rooms accommodate dozens of activity groups and special interest clubs. The Village Center is usually busy from early morning to evening with committee meetings, card playing, exercise groups, movies, local speakers and much more.
